The Parish of Berrington includes the settlements of Berrington, Betton, Brompton, Cantlop, Cross Houses and Eaton Mascott.

There are 427 properties within the Parish. Cross Houses is the largest village and is situated on the A458 Bridgnorth road some six kms south-east of Shrewsbury. It has a range of facilities including a village shop, post office and filling station, a cattery, a pub and a community centre called The Chapel, so named as it used to be the former Chapel of the Cross Houses Hospital.

The village of Berrington houses the parish church, St Mary’s and a village hall, Betton has its own church, St Margaret’s, Cantlop has a Garage and Taxi company and Brompton and Eaton Mascott each have a highly recommended farmhouse Bed & Breakfast.
Situated close by are the National Trust properties of Cronkhill and Attingham Park famous for its deer park, snowdrop walks and delicious cream teas. Opposite Attingham Park stands the Mytton and Mermaid Hotel overlooking the River Severn.
